Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the architectural design study of a Museum of Contemporary Art located on Rohan Island in Prague, Karlín. The site is defined by Rohanské nábřeží, Breitfeldova, and Vitáčkova streets, with the fourth boundary formed by the Vltava River embankment and the planned Maniny Park. The aim of the project is to create a new complex of a museum of contemporary art and a public space connected to the park, in harmony with the existing urban fabric, while supporting the ongoing development of Rohan Island.
