Abstract

Jezdkovice Castle, the cultural center of the village and microregion

The diploma thesis deals with the areal of castle and partial conversion of the castle in the village of Jezdkovice near Opava. The purpose of the project is to create a new center in the former farm yard of the castle for the village. The project respects the preservation of the existing functions of the castle, such as the municipal office, library and castle park, and works with the possibility of their new functional solution and supplementing the concept for a new orchard with additional use. The overall goal is to cultivate the area and strengthen the cultural significance of the village without disturbing its essence and character. The work contains an analytical part of the treated areal in relation to the surroundings and subsequent evaluation and typological and urbanistic solution of the area and the architectural design of selected buildings and the castle.
