Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines the impact of virtual technologies on the human brain and the possibilities for their use in the professional training of firefighters. The theoretical section characterizes selected generations of people and describes their specific attitudes toward modern technologies. It also defines virtual technologies, describes their impact on the cognitive functions of the human brain, and establishes guidelines for safe use of these systems. The practical section is based on a questionnaire survey of fire department personnel, the aim of which was to identify key skills and training needs. Based on the data obtained, the conclusion of the thesis proposes specific areas and methods for applying virtual reality to the educational system in a way that effectively links theoretical preparation with practical training.
