Abstract

Diploma thesis „Study of the kinetics of biosorption of Cr (VI) using inactivated orange peel“, deals with the possibility to replace synthetically produced sorbents, which are used solely in the removal of heavy metals, as a waste material, and that is just orange peel. A study of the thesis focuses on the issue of sorption of hexavalent chromium using biosorbents, namely orange peel, which is not activated. This fact is recording possible economic advantages especially in the future. In the final work are also described all the symptoms studied biological sorbent in terms of sorption kinetics of hexavalent chromium at different times. In this way, the adsorption capacity is detected, based on which to determine the suitability or unsuitability of absolute contrast biosorbents during sorption.
