Komunikace a datové přenosy pomocí USB 3.0 a Wireless USB

Abstract

This thesis aims at the explaination of the data communication using the new USB, wired USB 3.0 and wireless WUSB interfaces. The theoretical part contains briefly summarized history of USB and reasons for using the USB universal interface. Functions of the physical, link and protocol layers at both interfaces are described. In the part dedicated to WUSB, also the used wireless technology UWB and ways of establishing the first connection are explained. The practical part is focused on measurement of transmission speed of devices with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connected to interfaces USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, for which the measured results are compared and evaluated. An analysis of controlling transmissions at the first connection between the device and the host is performed, as well as an analysis of data transmissions, again for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. For educational purposes, both the theoretical and practical parts are explained in the form of animations with and without audio track, which clearly illustrate the given problems.
