Abstract

The subject of the thesis is a general description of the behavior of timber structures and elements when exposed to fire load. Another part of this work is to approach ways to protect wooden structures from the effects of high temperatures and fire load. Consequently, all knowledge is applied in the calculation methods of fire resistance of elements of wooden structures according to the EC.
