Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation and development work surrounding the Ostrava city. Development is analyzed for years 1980, 1991 and 2001, which are compared in the final section. The main goal is to analyze the intensity of commuting to Ostrava from surrounding municipalities, as well as the accessibility of these municipalities of interest from Ostrava city. The work also includes the distribution of commute by sector of economic activity and describing of spatial distribution of work suburbs as well as the development..The introductory part of the work deals with the description of the issue of mobility in the labour market and with evaluation of commuting.
