Ekonomická efektivita těžby lithia, křemenu a kaolinu v České republice

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis describes the economic aspects of lithium, quartz and kaolin mining in the Czech Republic. The work characterizes the selected raw materials from economic, geological and technological perspectives, analyses the European legislation focused on critical raw materials (especially the Critical Raw Materials Act – CRMA) and performs a comparison of global and domestic data on production, prices and market trends. Using regression analysis, SWOT analyses and evaluation of environmental and social impacts, the thesis identifies opportunities and risks of mining. Based on the results, it formulates practical recommendations for state administration, investors and regional self-governments and proposes three development scenarios until 2030. The conclusion shows that lithium represents a strategic raw material with high potential (especially the Cínovec deposit), but also significant risks, while quartz and kaolin offer a more stable economic outlook. The development of mining of all three raw materials can be economically efficient if legislative support, technological modernization and public acceptance are ensured.
