Abstract

In the submitted work is processed the financial assessment of the possibilities of importation of coal to the Czech Republic, the sites from which the raw material import and occurrence of geological reserves. Individual chapters of this work deal with the basic definition of species of marketable coal, their qualitative parameters in the Czech Republic and the world's biggest producer of this commodity. The following chapter compares the economic assessment of the import of coal in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the prices of the various alternatives for transport. In conclusion, then the work deals with the results of economic comparison of imports of hard coal in the Czech Republic and the establishment of the least costly importer for the Czech Republic.
