Abstract

This thesis is focused on the economy of social services. Social services are activities or a set of activities that provide assistance and support for social integration or preventing social exclusion. This issue complies with the Social Services Act no. 108/2006 Sb. and the social services ministerial regulation no. 505/2006 Sb. (Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic).The subject of the thesis is funding of the social services provided by municipalities, especially in Mohelnice.The thesis is divided into five parts. The second section deals with the teoretical definition of social services in general. It defines public services activities, its types, forms and fundamentals of a social services financing. Analysis of the social services funding in Mohelnice is contained in the third part. The service providers, types and forms of Mohelnice social services are specified as well. The forth part presents conclusions and remedial measures in the area of social services funding.
