Abstract

The master thesis is dealing with the revision of the existing suppliers development process at TIER1 supplier in the automotive industry. A dedicated group of SQA (supplier quality assurance) engineers are devoted to the activities, further divided into 5 sub-departments having in their responsibility the different and specific tasks and activities during the whole development and production lifetime.The description of the real processes is compared to the valid internal documented processes. These processes concern the suppliers from the quality point of view, not from the commercial point of view. In this thesis there are improvements defined to modify and add the activities in the area of suppliers development.Due to the know-how protection and based on the wish of the company, the name of the organisation has been changed to avoid any identification.
