Webové rozhraní IDS systému Snort

Abstract

The goal of this master thesis is to create a web-based interface for the IDS system Snort, used for network intrusion detection prevention. The first part of the thesis describes the basic terms of the various IDS systems, their function and feature comparison of selected products. All of the theoretical research is further used in the analytical and implementation part of the thesis. Analytical part includes a comparison of fundamental characteristics of older web-based interfaces and comparison with the interface created in the practical part of the thesis. The implementation is focused on the actual creation of the web interface and It’s deployment with Snort IDS. The thesis concludes with an evaluation of the results and a description of another possible extensions.
