Abstract

This thesis focuses on the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods to the selection of a supplier for a selected company in the mechanical engineering sector. The aim of this thesis is to select the most suitable supplier of a specific fastener for the company XYZ a.s. from a specified number of alternatives based on the results of the application of multi-criteria decision-making methods, while the supplier must meet the conditions that are in accordance with the company's requirements. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts for a better understanding of the issue of supplier selection, and the individual multi-criteria decision-making methods are also characterized. In the practical part, these methods are applied to the selection of a supplier for the company XYZ a.s., which should be the greatest benefit to the company from the given alternatives.
