Současný demografický vývoj a udržitelnost penzijního systému v České republice

Abstract

It is an undeniable fact that the demographic trend already has or will have an impact on the pension system. However, the question remains to what extent the expected demographic changes will affect the optimal functioning of the pension system. And this issue within the Czech Republic, is the subject of this thesis. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the current demographic development, which is the main determinant determining the future structure of the population, and the expected impact of demographic changes on the pension system in the Czech Republic, especially in relation to the sustainability of its funding. In this thesis, the current state of pension systém, is perceived as a state to 1 January 2013. In my own calculations and evaluation of demographic trends impact on the pension system are used demographic projections: Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) in 2009, Burcin and Kucera (BaK) in 2010 and Fiala and Miskolczi (FaM) in 2012.
