Abstract

This thesis deals with the employee appraisal in a chosen organization, an issue within the field of human resources. The aim of thesis was elaboration of analysis of the current evaluation system in selected companies and to propose measures that will lead to improvement. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The introductory part deals with the theory of employee evaluation. It describes the basic structure, importance, frequency, goals, criteria and methods of evaluation, the evaluators and the most frequent types of mistake that may occur in the evaluation. The second part is introduced organization STOMIX al. Ltd. and its system of employee appraisal. There were some imperfections discovered by evaluating of results obtained from the questionnaire. According to this fact new rating system and new evaluation criteria were proposed.
