Abstract

This thesis deals with the calculation of short-circuit currents in the Kočín substation 420 kV. The calculation is carried via a network simulator MODES on a created model of the Kočín substation 420 kV. The first part describes how to create a new project in the network simulator MODES. In the second part, are calculated values initial surge short-circuit current on the busbars through simulations of faults in software MODES. On the basis of these values is determined the worst place of a short circuit on the busbars. The last part deals with the reconstruction and expansion of substations in case of completion the Temelín nuclear power station.
