Abstract

Subject of thesis is power assisted steering system, especially a hydraulic power assisted steering system, which is the basis of the simulation and experimental model. The work includes analysis of various types of power assisted steering systems, mathematical description and simulation modeling of hydraulic power assisted steering. The thesis also includes a design of experimental workplace of hydraulic power assisted steering controlled by pneumatic swivel drive and its implementation. Control of pneumatic actuator is designed by using a digital positioning controller SPC200. The resulting waveforms of measured variables received during Moose test for different load levels are processed in the PC and compared with the output of the simulation model.
