Abstract
The aim of this thesis is compile a brief overview of the steel structure analysis and design. Finite element method was used for analysis. Evaluation of deformations, internal forces and stress is presented on some examples. Algorithms were created for calculation in Matlab software. Algorithms consist of bar, plane and three dimensional finite elements. Results of calculations are compared to solution of static software. Design according to norms and probabilistic assessment is shown on examples too.
