Abstract

In this diploma thesis is basic characteristic of shape memory alloys which contains nickel and titanium. Firstly, will introduced basic property of binary alloy and then will presentment other shape memory alloys based on Ni-Ti-Me. Main techniques of preparation will describe next. In next part will be chapters about martensitic transformation, shape memory effect, measurements of transformation temperatures, applications of shape memory alloys and future development. In practical part will be preparation by plasma melting and vacuum induction melting. Also, you can find in this thesis metallographic analyzes, measurements of chemical composition with scanning electron microscope, microhardness and content of gases in structures.
