Abstract

The aim of this master’s thesis is to develop a project on finding a use for the area of a railway yard located at ČSA mines after its closure. Since mining to the surface has already stopped at this area, a space for storing, processing and distribution of loose materials has emerged. The thesis includes a project on new loading and unloading tracks, loading areas, unloading, storing or sorting loose materials. In the first part of the thesis there is described technical data regarding the construction. It also includes a characterization of the area and history as well as the present of this particular mining factory is presented. In the next part, the current state of the ČSA area is described. The last part focuses on creating a proposal of variants from which the final recommendations, based on the results of a multi-criteria analysis, are presented.
