Abstract
The thesis deals with properties of austenitic stainless steels with high boron content. A metallographic analysis and an analysis of chemical composition of structural phases using EDX method have been executed for steels Cr18-Ni10 with different boron content. Information about structural phases has been complemented with microhardness results.
The results show that structure of steel with higher boron content consists of higher volume fraction of boride particles, that are larger in size and considerably harder, when compared with steel with lesser boron content.
