Abstract
This thesis deals with the production of a prototype of a vertical opening front door for the StudentCar Titan sports electric car. The door prototype was made by combining a carbon composite and a steel frame. The thesis therefore deals with the complete development and production of this unconventional door type. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, the individual components of the door are described and their functionality is described. Furthermore, the theoretical part contains an overview of composite materials and technologies for production, including welding technology. The practical part deals directly with the production of individual components of the prototype car door and their assembly. The practical part describes various technical solutions in the production, subsequent assembly and testing of the prototype door for the Student Car Titan. Furthermore, various design and manufacturing modifications are also mentioned.
