Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis describes the current state of mining, loading and treatment of raw materials in the Racice quarry. At present all mining work in the quarry is carried out by blasting. and treatment of raw materials in the Racice quarry. At present all mining work in the quarry is carried out by blasting. Both the geological conditions and the qualities of the extracted minerals enable use of other kinds of mining technology. This thesis describes the possibilities of mineral mining with use of a hydraulic hammer attached to a hydraulic excavator sitting atop a crawel undercarriage. Introduction of new mining technology results in numerous alternations in the established processes of mining, transportation and material treatment. The aim of this thesis is to present the new mining technology and the possibilities of its use in the Racice quarry. The new mining method is compared to the existing mining method. Both the current and the new proposed methods are evaluated from several points of view.
