Abstract
THE ROLE OF THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND IN SOLVING OF CRISES
The purpose of this thesis is based on an analysis of available information from the official website of the IMF and an available literature to find out the situation of the International Monetary Fund to render assistance and solutions to crises in the world. The work is focused on crises of chosen countries since the 90th years in the 20th century to the present. Its main reason is to pay attention to actual ongoing crisis in the world, focusing on individual EU states.
The thesis is divided into five chapters. First chapter is the introduction. Fifth chapter is the conclusion. Second chapter describes the origin, evolution and functioning of the International Monetary Fund. In third chapter there are possibilities of participation of the International Monetary Fund in crisis management. There are various tools described in the fund that are used for help countries hit by the crisis. Fourth chapter is applying to help the Fund in selected crises in the world since the 90th years in the 20th century to the present.
