Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with impact of waveforms of current and voltage with higher harmonics on calculating power quantity of an electrical circuit. It is primarily these quantities: active power, apparent power, reactive power, non-active power and distortion power. In this thesis, these are several definitions that propose how to resolve this problem. A virtual measurement device, developed in LabVIEW, is a sub-part of this thesis and it calculates these quantities from measured values of current and voltage according to these definitions.
