Abstract

Presented thesis deals with determination of clay mineral composition using the method of direct suspensions introduction into an atomic emission spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma of Spectro Ciros Vision. The kaolinite and bentonite with particle diameter less than 2 and 4 micrometers were used. Effect of some important parameters such as output of RF generator, the outer and the inner gas flow, and the method of slurry preparation on determination Na, K, Ca, Mg, Al, Fe, Ti a Si contend were studied. The results have been compared with the results of sample determination after their decomposition. The results show that the better recovery was achieved when the smaller amount and size of solid sample were used for slurry preparation and the concentrated nitric acid was added to slurry to prepared suspension with pH 2. It is better when the slurry was sonicated during its introduction. Determination of the mentioned elements together was not possible under the same determination conditions.
