Abstract
This thesis deals with the study of the absorption of unwanted Cr (VI) from aqueous environment using differently modified bentonite (activated with hydrochloric acid, 3% Na2CO3, 5% Na2CO3, Al2(SO4)3). This thesis is based on a study of the adsorption kinetics. The result of this thesis is an evaluation of the use of the nonactivated and chemically modified bentonite as a potential adsorbent for the purification of waste water containing Cr (VI).
