Abstract

This Master's thesis focuses on the analysis and design of an alternative energy source for an industrial site. The primary objective is to evaluate the technical feasibility and economic return on investment of a sustainable energy solution aimed at reducing the facility's dependence on the external distribution grid and optimizing its operating costs. The theoretical section reviews current trends in alternative energy sources and energy storage technologies. The practical part presents a technical design for a photovoltaic power plant combined with battery storage. The results indicate that the proposed system is capable of covering 32 % of the facility's total annual energy consumption with solar power. The thesis concludes with an assessment of the benefits provided by the proposed solution.
