Abstract
The main theme of the diploma thesis is Generation Y and, respectively, “The analysis of expectations of professional application of Generation Y representatives in the labor market." This analysis is focused, among other things, on other living generations, the current conception of HR and the work motivation, adoption and adaptation of the new workforce represented by Generation Y members. The author defined new terms of the Millennium such as Work – life balance and HR 4.0. The selected issues were analyzed by means of quantitative research. Generation Y members were approached through the survey. Members of Generation Y expect their employers’ friendly approach, meaningful work, possibility of self-realization and further education and the possibility to balance their personal life with work. The goal of this thesis is to uncover the hidden potential of Generation Y members and to design a key technique for their employers how to gain, motivate and maintain these members in their company.
