Abstract

This theses deals with possible ways to protect monuments against attacks on them. There are legal norms concerning monument protection described at the beginning. Another chapter shows some examples of attacks on monuments. Next follows risk analysis of possible threats for monuments. The final part is about protection of three actual monuments in Ostrava. The suggestion is created for The Zborovský monument, The monument of Red army and the plaques of the burnt down synagogue in the Zeyerova street.
