Abstract

Master thesis describes the course of implementation of the Lean Six Sigma improvement project on the filling process, its individual phases and theirs findings. The first part describes the importance of increasing process performance and role of the quality management in it, Lean methodology, Six Sigma methodology and their combination Lean Six Sigma methodology. It also describes the tools used in the teamwork, the basic theoretical aspects of company documentations relevant to the work topic and company characteristics. The second part of the thesis focuses on the individual phases of the DMAIC cycle within Lean Six Sigma methodology. All efforts aim to optimize the flow of the filling line. During the corresponding phases are introduced findings, its solutions and evaluations. The result of the work is a noticeable reduction of the filling line machines stoppages frequency and increased filling efficiency. Master thesis is finished with suggestions for further improvement.
