Abstract

The master thesis is focused on financial performance evaluation of a company. Financial performance evaluation is one of the most important activities of a financial management and decision making. In the past, indicators based on accounting data have been mainly used for performance evaluation. But these don´t reflect situation on a market. That is why modern indicators are used for performance evaluation rather, nowadays. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate financial performance of a chosen company for the previous five years by using modern indicators of performance. The company is evaluated according to the economic value added, CFROI indicator and cash value added. The theoretical part includes definitions and characteristics related to the financial performance of the company. It also describes various modern indicators of performance evaluation and individual adjustments of accounting data which is necessary to make before the calculation. The practical part includes individual adjustments, then economic value added , CFROI and cash value added are calculated. The practical part also contents possible recommendations for a chosen company to increase financial performance. In the conclusion of the thesis the performance of the chosen company is evaluated according to the calculated indicators.
