Specifické podmínky oddlužení seniorů v České republice

Abstract

The topic of this thesis is the specific conditions of debt relief for seniors in the Czech Republic. In order to understand the entire process of insolvency proceedings and particularly debt relief, this work analyzes the basic concepts related to insolvency proceedings, as well as a detailed description and procedure of the entire debt relief process, including its legislative development focused on seniors. These theoretical insights are then applied in the practical part to two specific cases of debt relief for seniors, from the beginning of the process to meeting the conditions for its termination. Subsequently, a questionnaire survey is evaluated, which makes it possible to specify the financial literacy of seniors, their most common reasons for indebtedness, or the use of the debt relief institute.
