Abstract

The subject of my thesis was to determine the skills and knowledge of individual levels of purchasers in the form of a thematic analysis. In the thematic analysis, 400 job offers were examined. Job offers were on positions junior buyer, buyer, strategic buyer and director of purchase. On the basis of the information obtained from literature and qualitative research, knowledge and abilities were set for each job position. In the thematic analysis, categories were created on the basis of a table that was characterized by Rana Tassabehji. The suitability of her work was confirmed by research. Based on research the table should be enriched with a personality feature category. The process knowledge category within the business has become irrelevant. The most important knowledge and skills are technical knowledge, namely education and knowledge of the product and the purchasing process.
