Abstract
PhD. thesis deals with research of the Poruba Member of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. It includes published articles, articles in press and some papers in the preparation. Part of the text consists of recently established and unpublished information up to the present time 189 yet about sedimentation and development at the epoch of the formation the Poruba Member.
Principal contribution ground in the fact that results go out of new created models of the spatial development of the geological parameters of the Poruba Member (thickness, sandiness and coal-bearing capacity) and also new created lithologic-correlation cross-section. This geological documentation process newly verified data and inclued Czech and Polish part of the basin.
This text deal with classification of the sedimentary basin´s typology in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin and discuss about character of the sedimentary environment of the Poruba Member. PhD. thesis describe litho-stratigraphic boundary of the Poruba Member, important correlation horizons (Castle Conglomerate Unit) and some question of its litho-stratigraphy.
Practical application thesis consist in the utilization metodology of creation models of the geological parameters and utilization models of development of the coal-bearing capacity. Development of the thickness and sandiness and lithologic-correlation schemes interpret general regularity of the coal-bearing sedimentation´s development in the basin and it´s important as auxiliary documentation for strategy of the deposit´s research.
