Abstract

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Evaluation of the Sharing Economy Model and its Connection with Sustainability. The main objective of the thesis is to objectively evaluate the current state of the sharing economy and to specify the relationship of this economic model with sustainability. The bachelor thesis is divided into three main chapters. In the first chapter, the concepts of sharing economy and sustainability-sustainable development are theoretically defined. The methods used in this thesis are then described at the end of this chapter. The content of the second chapter is an analysis of the current state of the sharing economy in the Czech Republic. In the first part of this chapter, a content analysis of data related to the impact of the sharing economy on the individual pillars of sustainability is compiled. The second half of the practical part of this thesis focuses on a questionnaire survey conducted to clarify the attitude of the Czech population towards the sharing economy. In the final chapter, recommendations that could help to make the sharing economy more sustainable are proposed.
