Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to create a web application for an electronic library, which is used by the employees and postgraduate students of the Department of Telecommunications. The principal objective of the system is to enable individual users to easily insert documents in the electronic form and subsequently share them with other users of the system. The first part of the thesis deals with general description and the main idea of the system. The following sections focus on the analysis and the implementation itself of the selected parts and functions. The whole system is based on XHTML technology, PHP scripting programming language, and MySQL relational database system.
