Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the history, development and current situation of the sugar industry in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The theoretical part deals with the description of sugar production technology, the history of sugar production and the current situation. The practical part consists of a proposal for the use of sugar factories in tourism, namely the creation of a professional excursion for students to places connected with past and present sugar production in Silesia, and project of guided tour to industrial buildings in Opava.
