Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to look into the problems of municipal finance of education. The paper explains the sources of funding for local schools and the main principles and criteria for funding. The most important factor influencing the economic situation is the number of school pupils. The work is based on an analysis of state education, especially compared to the number of pupils, schools and basic structure of the volume of allocated funds. Attention is paid to the deteriorating economic situation of primary schools in a continuing decline in pupil numbers.
