Analýza struktury zásob a jejich rozmístění ve skladu logistického podniku

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the inventory structure and its location in a selected warehouse of a logistics company. It is focused on the importance of individual stored inventory items and the appropriateness of their location. The bachelor´s thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to two topics, namely inventory and storage. In the practical part, the analyzed warehouse and its functioning are characterized in more detail, followed by the analysis itself. To evaluate significant items, a multi-stage ABC classification method is used according to two aspects, namely the frequency of occurrence of the item in orders and the number of exported pieces for the period of the calendar year 2023. An analysis of motionless inventory is also processed. Based on the obtained results and information, an improvement of the storage system is proposed with a concrete example of the location of inventory in the warehouse racks. Proposals are also made to deal with motionless inventory and to modify the information system.
