Abstract
This thesis deals with the heat treatment of casing pipes and is divided into two main parts. The first part describes the theory of heat treatment, phase transformations in solid condition, and the heat treatment of steel. The practical part discusses the optimisation of the heat treatment casing pipes of in-house steel grade T73S according to API 5 CT standard.
