Abstract
The Goal of this thesis is to determine the role of SAZKA company, which is involved in the financing of sport in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part will be devoted to the definition of sport and to the types of its financing. In the practical part it will introduce the SAZKA company and origin, cause and impact of its crisis. In this section it will be also provided a comparison of gathered data to see changes in sport financing due to the Sazka company becoming insolvent.
