Abstract

This Bachelor thesis focuses on the management and activity of a zoo. It deals with the issues of business activity of a non-profit organization not only in general but also concentrates on the concrete non-profit organization of the Zoo Olomouc. It evaluates the present and past activity of this non-profit organization in the form of analysis its economics results in the monitored period. It deals with the problematic of the expenses and profit in 2006 – 2010 and analyses it in detail. It also deals with the issue of the economic results and finds out the reasons why the zoo made profit or loss. The Bachelor thesis also focuses on the finance problematic of the Zoo Olomouc and studies the possibilities of its more effective economy.
