This thesis deals with the calculation of the thermal power generator HEK3 in steady state for power rated current 11 kA. In the calculation of the parameters of the power of generator I and its dimensions, which I obtained from the label, and drawings. The classic method of calculation is based on the analogy between electrical and thermal field. I will use these dependencies to build thermal networks, equations, based on thermal network and subsequently to their solution. For complex tasks, this method loses the efficiency and also the values of the accuracy of the calculation is not accurate. For these reasons, it is preferable to carry out the job, using numerical methods, in my case, using the finite element method and computer technology. It is a new and modern solutions using the direction computing environment of ANSYS, which is the calculation and display of temperature distribution of thermal generator power.
