Abstract

This thesis is focused on a description of the centrifugal steel castings manufacture and its heat treatment, microstructure evaluation and mechanical properties testing. The thesis describes the centrifugal casting technology and the influence of the heat treatment paremeters upon martensitic stainless steel castings macrostructure, microstructure and mechanical properties. The examinations have been carried out with the aim to design an optimal heat treatment process reaching the required material properties.
