Vliv difúzních povlaků WC na technologii pájení a odolnost vůči abrazi pří výrobě dílců v letectví.

Abstract

The diploma thesis analyses the possibility of increasing the service life of components that are degraded by abrasion in demanding working conditions. The emphasis is given to the application of WCx coating on Cres 347, Inconel 625 and Inconel 718 materials and its abrasion resistant properties. Subsequently, it was investigated whether the application of WCx coating is feasible in the production of soldered joints, which is often used during the production of components in Honeywell Aerospace Olomouc, Ltd.. Based on the experiments, the WCx coating was evaluated as a relatively effective variant to achieve a longer service life, with up to 33% increase in abrasion resistance. While the soldered joint was being formed, an excessive wetting of the WCx surface was observed. The solder thus wetted the surrounding surface of the WCx coated part more, instead of forming a joint between the parts. This resulted in most cases in discontinuous soldered joint. The only condition under which an adequate joint was formed was when the joint tightness was approximately 30μm. However, the production of a solder joint with constant tightness is very problematic.
