Návrh a realizace řidicí jednotky pro hypoxickou komoru

Abstract

The result of my diploma thesis is an overview of findings about hypoxia and creation of a hypoxic chamber control unit. Part one presents the theory of hypoxia and hypoxic conditions which have a considerable effect upon the functioning of organism and may even be life-threatening. Given that multiple factors are involved, such as ambient pressure and ventilation of the environment effecting the organism, it is necessary to consider also other parameters which may occur present under circumstances triggering hypoxia in particular. Part two provides a brief comparison of the methods and systems used in laboratory experiments to potentiate hypoxic response. Part three is dedicated to the design and implementation of a control unit which I have created in the framework of my diploma thesis, including the testing of its characterictics and its application in laboratory experiments. The control unit was developed in the premises of IKEM Prague in the Clinical Engineering Department.
