Abstract

This thesis deals with ensuring quality of abrasive supplies. In order to understand, the purchasing process in the company had to be clarified as well as the ability to guarantee the quality of supplies. It is shown here how the process works. The analysis reveals deficiencies, which are followed by corrective measures in the form of proposal of a new testing methodology on a particular lamellar grinding wheel. Furthermore, in this thesis a method may be found that helps to evaluate the most suitable supplier in terms of abrasive performance, abrasive quality, economic and environmental aspects. The proposed methodology and evaluation is tested on two lamellar grinding wheels.
