Abstract

This presented bachelor thesis is focused on railway station buildings of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway in Ostrava and its surroundings. The bachelor thesis is divided into several parts. The first part gives a brief historical account of the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway. The second part describes the railway station layout and elaborates on division of buildings owned by the Emperor Ferdinand Northern Railway. The third part provides us with characteristics of particular station buildings in Ostrava and its surroundings. The last part contains several proposals on popularization of station buildings.
