Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with fire protection on railway vehicles. The first part is an analysis of European safety on railways referring to the statistics of development of individual types of events. The study also analyzed the currently applicable standards, focusing on fire safety of rolling stock and their development. The work carried out measurements of selected fire technical characteristics of the materials from seat from pragues metro train. The conclusion is a calculation of fire load of metro train and its comparison with standard values.
